Reptiles & Amphibians

There are about 4,500 species of amphibians and about 6,000 species of reptiles found on Earth. Amphibians and reptiles are both cold-blooded (ectothermic) species of vertebrates.  Reptiles have scaly skin to protect their bodies whereas amphibians have moist skin that they can breathe through with a protective layer of mucus. Both reptiles and amphibians lay eggs. In this category you will find the animals in the Aquarium that are Reptiles & Amphibians.
